Viewpoint - Roofs

Add-on for the Project Viewpoint 3D camera
Live · updated Oct 22

Project Viewpoint turns the game's top-down view into an over-the-shoulder 3D camera, but houses were missing the back and sides of their roofs. This add-on gives every house on the map a complete 3D roof, built from the game's own roof artwork.

Thousands of roof modelsGenerated by my own offline Python pipeline, with Blender for review renders.
Every building typeCovers porches, lean-tos, trailers, barns and military tents, in each building's own siding.
Safe on existing savesRoofs appear as each area loads, and it switches itself off on an unsupported Viewpoint version.
Multiplayer readyWorks on servers that list the mod.

An add-on for Project Viewpoint by ellu and norkus. It doesn't change their files, and all credit for Viewpoint goes to them.

After The Beep

Phones and answering machines that tell stories
Live · updated Oct 23

Kentucky, July 1993. The phones in houses still ring, and you can play back the messages people left in the days before the outbreak. They're written, shown as subtitles over a wordless murmur, and together they tell small personal stories.

How I work

I build the whole thing

Viewpoint's 3D camera left half the roofs in Project Zomboid missing, so I built a pipeline that makes a full 3D roof for every house in the game out of its own artwork. Over 80,000 players use it now.

I also rebuilt the game's whole interface so it plays like DayZ, made a mod where you play back 150+ messages people left on their answering machines before the outbreak, published five Roblox Studio plugins on the Creator Store, and I'm building my own Roblox game, Glowtide.

Every update I make goes out as a test build first. Players report bugs on my Discord, I fix them, and then it goes live. I even built a site so they can see what's coming next.
